How to set an Eco-Drive Sentry [edit]

The English-language instructions for setting Eco-Drive watches are close to incomprehensible. Here are instructions for one particular model - BL5XXX - that probably agree for similar Eco-Drive watches. This particular model has three small dials in add-on to the chief face, two buttons and a stalk. Its functionality includes an alarm clock, a chronograph (i.e., terminate watch) and a perpetual agenda.

The battery itself was not touched and the piece runs almost equally well today as it did when I got it. Seeing all other watches I accept used require a battery change at least every two years..
